Lying in the north of the vast and bountiful expanses of India and cradled in the awesome beauty and calm serenity of the Stately Himalayas, Uttarakhand - the Devbhumi (Land of the Gods) has attracted tourists and pilgrimages of different religions including the world famous Char Dham or the four Hindu pilgrimage destinations of Shri Badrinath -Kedarnath – Gangotri - Yamunotri, world famous Valley of Flowers, the sacred Sikh pilgrimage of Hemkund Sahib –Lokpal, Nanakmatta and Meetha – Reetha Sahib and Muslim pilgrimage of Piran Kaliyar have drawn pilgrimage and seekers for spiritual fulfillment to Uttarakhand. The rich cultural traditions, the rare natural beauty and the cool and invigorating climate of this land of origin of the holy Ganga and Yamuna rivers have been its main attractions.

Uttarakhand is a paradise for adventure sports, water sports, wildlife, and skiing. The sheer variety ranging from mountaineering to aero sports like hand gliding, paragliding make Uttrakhand one of the most attractive destinations for adventure sports not only in India but also the world over. Uttarakhand has flora and fauna, which is diverse as well as rare. This makes Uttarakhand an ideal location for eco-tourism. Eco-tourism includes jungle safaris, trekking on forest trails, nature walks, catch and release of Mahaseer and other fish species. However, the utmost priority in all these activities is given for retaining the ecological fragility of the region. A clean, fresh and invigorating environment makes Uttarakhand a preferred destination to relax and unwind.

By virtue of experience, as a social responsibility we decided to disseminate informations for the benefit of travelers through bringing a monthly magazine “Uttarakhand Tour & Travel Times” since 1998 successfully.
