Located just 238 kilometers north of New Delhi, Rishikesh is easily accessible by air, rail and road.
Rishikesh is in close proximity of Dehradun's Jolly Grant Airport (about 15 kms) - a small, quiet airport handling 1-2 commercial flights a day, and a few chartered flights. A 45 minute flight from New Delhi is the fastest way to reach here. (All flights have been suspended since January 2007 for airport renovation, and it shall take sometime to resume air services.)

A four hour train journey to Haridwar has to be followed by half an hour drive to Rishikesh. In addition, there are a number of other trains, which traverse the way to Haridwar/Rishikesh, thereby offering you a wide range of train timings, which can also be booked online now through www.irctc.co.in.
